Privacy policy

ARK Experience (ARKE) is a personal project run by me, Yana, from Phuket, Thailand. This page explains what personal data I collect through this website and my emails, why I collect it, which services help me, and the choices you have. I've kept it as short and clear as I can.

What I collect

• When you ask for a free guide. Your first name, your email address, the guide you chose and the page you were on.
• When you buy a guide. Your name, email address, the guide you bought, the amount and the date. Card and payment details go straight to Stripe. I never see or store them.
• When you ask for a gift box quote. Your name, email, phone number, delivery address, city, postal code, the boxes and products you chose and any notes you add.
• When you open my emails. MailerLite records whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked. I use this to check that your guide arrived and to send one reminder if it didn't.
• When you visit the site. Like every website, my host and the services that load fonts and code receive technical data such as your IP address and browser type so they can show you the page.

This website doesn't set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers. Stripe and MailerLite may use their own cookies on their checkout pages to keep payments secure.

Why I use it

• To send you the guide you asked for or bought, and a reminder if the first email didn't reach you.
• To send you occasional emails with new guides, making tips and news from ARKE, if you agreed to receive them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To prepare and send a gift box quote you asked for.
• To keep purchase records for accounting and tax, and to handle refunds.
• To protect the site and payments from spam and fraud.

I don't sell your data, rent it or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

The services that help me

• MailerLite sends my emails, stores subscriber details and runs the checkout for paid guides. MailerLite privacy policy
• Stripe processes payments securely. Stripe privacy policy
• Google stores form requests in a private Google Sheet and serves the website fonts. Google privacy policy
• My website host and the code libraries from cdnjs and unpkg deliver the pages you see.

These services may store data outside Thailand, for example in the European Union or the United States. Each one follows its own privacy and security standards.

How long I keep it

• Subscriber details stay until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
• Purchase records stay for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Gift box quote requests stay for up to two years after we last spoke.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to

• show you the data I hold about you
• correct it
• delete it
• stop sending you emails, or withdraw any consent you gave
• send you a copy in a common file format

Write to me and I'll reply within 30 days. This policy is written with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, for visitors from Europe, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in mind. You can also contact the data protection authority where you live. In Thailand, that's the Personal Data Protection Committee.

Keeping it safe

Payments run through Stripe, so card details never touch this site. The accounts that hold your data are protected with strong passwords and two-step login, and only I have access to them.

Children

The guides are written for adults. If you're under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before signing up or making anything.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, I'll let subscribers know by email.
