Terms of use

These terms apply when you use this website or download an ARKE guide, free or paid. ARK Experience (ARKE) is a personal project run by me, Yana, from Phuket, Thailand. By using the site or a guide, you agree to these terms.

The guides are for learning

ARKE guides teach you how natural body care works and how to make it at home. They are for educational purposes only. They don't provide medical advice or replace professional consultation.

Everyone's skin is different. Before using anything you make, do a patch test on a small area and wait 24 hours. If you have allergies or a skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or want to make something for a child, please ask a doctor first.

Making body care means working with heat, hot oils and ingredients that need care. Follow the safety steps in each guide, use clean tools, and keep ingredients away from children and pets.

Results can vary

I test every formula myself, but your ingredients, equipment, climate and technique will be different from mine. Your batch may turn out a little different too, and that's part of learning.

Your guide, for personal use

When you download or buy a guide, you get a personal license to use it. You can

• read it on any of your devices and print it for yourself
• make the products for yourself, your family and your friends

You may not

• share, forward, upload or resell the PDF or its formulas
• copy the guide or its formulas into your own courses, books, videos or posts
• use the formulas to make products for sale

Selling homemade cosmetics also comes with legal requirements. In Thailand, for example, cosmetics sold to the public need Thai FDA notification, and other countries have their own rules.

Prices and payment

Paid guides are a one-time payment, shown in US dollars on each guide page. There is no subscription. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe through MailerLite. Your bank may add a currency conversion fee, and taxes may apply depending on where you live.

Delivery

Your guide is a PDF. After payment you can download it straight away, and a copy is sent to the email you used at checkout. If it hasn't arrived within an hour, check your spam or promotions folder, then write to me and I'll send it again.

Refunds

Please see the Refund Policy.

Free guides and emails

Free guides are sent by email. When you ask for one, you agree to receive it along with occasional emails from me. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. The Privacy Policy explains how I handle your details.

Gift box quote requests

A quote request is not an order, and you don't pay anything when you send it. Nothing is confirmed until we agree on the details in writing.

Content and copyright

All text, photos, videos, illustrations and guides on this site belong to ARK Experience unless noted otherwise. Please don't copy or reuse them without my written permission. Sharing a link to a page is always welcome.

Liability

I share this website and the guides in good faith and keep them as accurate as I can. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any injury, skin reaction, loss or damage that comes from making or using products described here, and my total liability for a paid guide is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Other websites

Some links lead to sites I don't run, such as Stripe, MailerLite or social media. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Each purchase is covered by the terms in place on the day you bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.
